A bereita in Brachot 28a (ref. in J.UnB. podcast #400): Rabban Gamliel, the rosh yeshiva, is a gatekeeping older man and is deposed as rosh yeshiva. Rabbi Eleazar ben Azaria — only 18 — is installed as the new rosh yeshiva and lifts the entrance requirements Rabban Gamliel had placed.
